The Vienna Choir Boys At Lincoln Center

So far as I know, this concert has not been made available for purchase. (If anyone knows differently, please E-MAIL US!)   I recorded it from our local PBS Station in 1990. Of course CDs and some DVDs of the artists in this telecast are widely available.   The concert is unique because several of the boys were ill. Vienna Boy Choirs normally present 22-24 boys. This performance began with 18, and there were only 16 left standing at the concert's conclusion. Were it a concert for only their choir, they might possibly have cancelled (although that is very rare), but the Orchestra of St. Luke's, flutist James Galway and soloist Frederica von Stade-- were all depending on them. Once again, the world's most famous boychoir came through!
