Dumas, Texas

The PACKET node MOORE was added to this site on April 12, 2009. It has become an excellent link to and from several other nodes: POTTER, AMAPCG, DALLAM, OLDHAM, BOR, BFD, and sometimes FRITCH, TATOR and GUYMON. It is currently running 60 watts into a 6 Db omnidirectional antenna at 190 feet, duplexed with the APRS digi.

The Dumas APRS Digi was first installed on November 6, 2005, but had a TNC problem. After 'attitude adjustment' back in Amarillo by Maury, W5UGQ, the TNC was returned and officially began digipeating on November 7th. We are indebted to KE5EDY, Bo, Moore County Sheriff, and to KE5DSW, David, of the Dumas Police Department-- for finding us the unused antenna and hardline!
